The Polish footwear giant, CCC opened its first mall store in Hungary in 2012 in the Pólus Center. In addition to the positive experience of the past years, the rejuvenation of the Pólus also played a role in the store’s renovation, so now a refurbished and greatly expanded shop awaits the shoe shoppers.

"We believe the Pólus was a perfect choice for us. Feedback from the customers in past years, and a high number of visitors prompted us to expand our presence in the mall. After the refurbishment of Pólus we choose to do our own, so now 930 square meters await our customers, in order to further increase our turnover. Moreover, the store is now CCC Hungary's largest shopping mall shoe store." - said Sándor Hódi, Managing Director of CCC in Hungary.

The renewal of Pólus and the satisfaction of tenant is confirmed by the growing indicators: number of visitors increased by 6 percent in 2015, while the turnover of the tenants increased by 15 percent compared to the previous period - despite the new Sunday closures.

"The significant expansion of CCC confirms the optimism following the refurbishment of Pólus. Tenants and customers alike are satisfied with the shopping center, and last year opened a new, innovative "strip mall" (outer row of shops) concept, which enabled the lease of a further 2000 square meters of space. In 2015 almost 20 tenants renewed their lease contracts and more than 16 new shops were opened", Zsolt Kákosy MRICS, Head of Asset Services at CBRE said.

CCC belongs to that group of international retailers, who can freely adjust their sales concept - including the square footage of stores - to settlement size and to the expected turnover. "We have completed a successful negotiation process, which guarantees the long-term presence of CCC. This newly opened "magnet tenant' is an excellent indicator of Pólus Center’s development, since only the most successful shopping centers have shoe stores of similar size", Szabolcs Koroknai, Head of Retail - Shopping Centres added.
