Meeting the needs of tenants is crucial for the developer, and an increasingly important element of that is to serve employees with special needs or disabilities, and to create an inclusive environment for them. For that reason, solutions that support accessibility will receive special attention during the development process.

The certification takes account of – among many other aspects – the planned width and evenness of the sidewalks, the presence of ramps, the width and ease of use of doors and elevators, the presence of the necessary signs, and the accessibility of the restrooms. In the building, a tablet for hearing-impaired visitors will be available at the reception for sign language assistance, and an induction loop system will be installed in the lobby. This device will transmit sound to the hearing aid via a magnetic field in order to eliminate background noise, interference or acoustic distortion.

” There is a noticeable increase in the number of participants on the real estate market who regard the accessibility of their office space and the credible and detailed information about it as key elements in their confidence in equal opportunities and their future business success. Millennium Gardens is an excellent example of this, where during the development process we pay special attention to the accessibility of the building, as creating an inclusive environment is an important condition of integration. We firmly believe that the integration of people with reduced mobility, cognitive or hearing/visual impairment is essential from an equal opportunities and human rights perspective, but developing and encouraging a universal, inclusive environment also brings economic and business benefits to businesses and firms. ” - said Károly Dömötör Makk, Senior Leasing Manager of TriGranit.

Millennium Gardens and environmental awareness

In addition to the Acces4you certification, the building has previously also received the BREEAM Excellent certification as a building that was built in an environmentally conscious way and one that will be operating accordingly in the future. Among other features, charging stations will be built for visitors arriving by electric cars, changing rooms and restrooms will be provided for those arriving by bicycle, and dedicated parking spaces will be available for motorcycle riders. There will be selective waste collection, and also the elevators, heating/cooling systems and the motion sensor lighting system of the building will be energy efficient. Irrigation of the garden that belongs to the building is planned to be done with the rainwater irrigation system, also fresh and clean drinking water will be provided to the employees by the drinking water filtration system.

Providing ideal spaces for medium and large companies, Millennium Gardens will be the jewel of the latest, most prestigious and concluding development of the Millennium City Center, which is a modern, airy area with a waterfront panorama and also excellent transport links. Easily divisible floors of a size of 3,670 square meters have been built on the 10 floors of the building in a total of 37,000 square meters, in which a roof terrace will be created - providing a complete panorama of the Danube.
