IWG’s capital-light growth strategy is now powering the vast majority of its expansion, with 95% of these locations being delivered via managed partnership agreements. The model enables property owners and investors to generate higher returns from their buildings, while allowing IWG to grow its global network quickly and efficiently.
This rapid growth has been driven by a particularly strong number of H1 2026 signings in key markets including:
- USA - 187
- UK - 62
- India 43
- China 42
IWG’s record first-half growth has continued into the second half of the year. In July, Wojo joined IWG, adding a further 186 locations to its global platform. Previously a joint venture between Accor and Bouygues Immobilier, the acquisition also establishes a long-term relationship with Accor, creating opportunities to bring IWG’s solutions to more hotels in the months and years ahead.
IWG currently operates 23 locations across Hungary, offering a broad portfolio of flexible workspace solutions through its Regus, Spaces, HQ and Signature brands. The network comprises 19 Regus centres, two Spaces locations, one HQ and one Signature site, with the majority located in Budapest and a growing regional presence in Debrecen, Szeged and Miskolc. Across its locations, IWG provides businesses of all sizes with modern private offices, meeting rooms, coworking and collaborative spaces. Members can also use the IWG app to access workspaces across the company’s global network, alongside a range of additional business support services.
IWG is working with landlords and developers around the world to bring flexible work solutions closer to where people live and work, while creating new revenue opportunities for its partners. The vast majority of IWG’s new locations are in the suburbs, smaller commuter towns and cities.
The group is expanding its network deep into the heart of the communities where its solutions are needed. The opportunity for further growth remains significant, with an estimated 1.2 billion white collar workers globally and a total addressable market of more than $2 trillion.
Christian Schmitz, CEO of International Workplace Group, said: “We’ve had a fantastic first half, signing a record 728 new locations and growing the IWG platform to more than 6,000 locations worldwide. Every new location strengthens our network, gives our customers more choice and creates new opportunities for growth.
“We’re growing everywhere, from some of the world’s biggest cities to towns and communities where hybrid working is opening up completely new opportunities. Our capital-light strategy allows us to grow quickly, while helping our partners generate more value from their buildings. There is a huge opportunity ahead of us and we’re excited to keep accelerating our growth.”
